Turducken Through the Years

For those of you who may be new to this idea and our local tradition, here is a walk through the history.

Turducken VIII: 7 December 2013

It was time to give up on Facebook, and someone suggested Turducken needed it's own site, and now it has one. This year's Turducken celebration will be on Saturday, 7 December 2013. Start time will be 6 pm, but many people arrive in waves, so please plan on joining the party even if you can't be there or are 'double-booked' that day. It happens, even in Vicksburg. 

For those who have never attended, there are a few rules. 

Guests are asked to bring a side dish, dessert, or beverage. However, there are some rules to consider:

1) No stuffing. There will already be three types of stuffing in large quantities.

2) You may bring green bean casserole, as long as you are the only one to do so.

3) Don't park in front of the Leggett's house. They are angry old people who claim to need to move all of their cars at any one time.

4) You may invite others, as long as you assume responsibility for their actions, good or bad, throughout the duration of the party.

For those of you that attended last year, there will again be a homebrew competition, with the winner being selected by people's choice. Brewers! Bring your best, Turducken VIII demands it.
